Margana Wood from Houston, Texas, was Miss Texas’ Outstanding Teen 2012. On the national stage and in her everyday life, Margana worked to inform and educate others about the harmfulness of bullying. Through her platform, Nice Girls Rule, she is teaching others to stand up for themselves, their friends, and anyone around them being bullied. “I will continue to concentrate at the source, which is our elementary and middle schools,” Margana said, “promoting the idea of girls banding together, and making pledges to each other to appreciate and nurture our strengths as well as our differences.”
