Kaitlyn Miller - MMACM Top 5

Miller

Swoyersville, Pennsylvania

Kaitlyn Miller began her career competing in the Miss America Organization when she was thirteen years old. She thought participating in the organization would be a great way to earn scholarships, meet new friends, and promote her platform, "Kaitlyn's Walking on Sunshine: Amputee Awareness."

"I chose to raise awareness of amputees because my grandmother was an amputee and many feared her because she looked different on the outside. When she passed away, my sister and I had a very hard time coping with our loss. This platform is very personal to me and being Miss Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen allows me to spread the word and help other children who have the same problem I did," Kaitlyn said.

MAO has a special place in Kaitlyn's heart, and it has always been her dream to be on the cover of a magazine. fourpoints, she says, would be the perfect cover for her because "it contains such great information about girls competing in the Miss America system all across the United States!"

Kaitlyn has held the titles of Miss State Capitol's Outstanding Teen 2009, Miss York County's Outstanding Teen 2010, Miss Greater Readings Outstanding Teen 2011, Miss MidState's Outstanding Teen 2012, and Miss Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen 2012.
