Monday, 20 May 2013 13:45

Miss America's Outstanding Teen Organization is pleased to announce Elizabeth McGlynn, Professional Pageant Preparation, LLC, as the sponsor of this year's Teens in Action Award. The $500 scholarship will be awarded to a contestant based on her platform.

Each MAOTeen contestant is asked to submit an essay explaining her platform, why it is important to her, and how she worked to integrate it into her community. The recipient of this award will be selected by the Scholastic Judges committee.

"I am very excited to continue my partnership with the MAOTeen Organization. It is through the incredible opportunities afforded through the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Organization that a young woman can learn about herself and grow," McGlynn said. "I believe in encouraging young women to see the possibilities within themselves and have the confidence and persistence to reach for their goals."

In addition to providing the Teens in Action Award, McGlynn will sponsor a "Princess Party" for the Princess Camp participants.
