Miss America 2011 Teresa Scanlan had a wonderful time in Philadelphia this weekend where she participated in the Great American Cleanup with Keep America Beautiful.

On Friday, Teresa joined Keep America beautiful to honor Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter and local volunteers of Keep Philadelphia Beautiful at the Token of Appreciation Awards. The awards recognized community members who are making a difference and working to make the city a more beautiful KABplace to live.

Teresa continued her commitment to KAB's "Green Starts Here" initiatives on Saturday at the Philly Spring Clean Up. Teresa joined Mayor Nutter, Keep America Beautiful representatives, and thousands of volunteers to help clean up a seven mile stretch of land called Cobbs Creek Park.

Following the "cleaning and greening" events, Miss America 2011 Teresa Scanlan had the honor of singing "God Bless America" on Sunday afternoon for the Philadelphia Phillies baseball opening weekend and helped them celebrate a series sweep to kick off their new season!
