fourpoints magazine is searching for the next face to be on the cover of our August 2013 issue. The winner of the "Make Me A Cover Model" contest will be a representative of the four points of the Miss America crown: scholarship, style, service, and success.

 

Qualifications/Guildelines for Entry:

fourpoints "Make Me A Cover Model" contest is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:

• Resident of the United States, District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, or Puerto Rico.

• Between the ages of 13 and 24 (as of August 1, 2013).

• Competed in at least one local, state or national pageant within the Miss America/Miss America's Outstanding Teen Organizations.

• In compliance with all regulations set forth by the Miss America/Miss America's Outstanding Teen local/state contracts.

By participating in this contest, entrants and their parents/legal guardians agree to be bound by these Official Rules. All entries become the property of Serendipity Media LLC. Registration for the contest begins January 18, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. and ends on February 28, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. EST.

How to Enter:

All entries must include the following:

1. Completed online application or mail entry form including your response to the short essay question (up to 500 words).

2. One headshot image and three candid photos. If a headshot image is not available, please submit four candid photos (uploaded via online application or mail in with entry form). All photographs submitted via mail will not be returned.

3. All entries must be submitted online or printed and postmarked no later than February 28, 2013. Proof of mailing does not constitute proof of delivery.

4. All entries must include a $49.00 non-refundable entry fee made payable to Serendipity Media LLC. This fee does include a one year subscription to fourpoints magazine. If the contestant already has a subscription, we will add a year to her subscription. This subscription cannot be given or gifted to another individual. Subscription must be in the name of the contestant.

Incomplete entries will be ineligible for judging and the entry fee will be forfeited. Lost, late, illegible, and postage-due entries are not eligible. Limited one entry per person. You don't need not be a subscriber to fourpoints magazine to enter.

Judging/Selection of the "Make Me A Cover Model" Contest:

Entries will be accepted beginning January 18, 2013. The judging process will be as follows:

• The top finalists will be selected by a team at Serendipity Media LLC based on photo submissions and content in the applications.

• Once the top semi-finalists have been selected, the online voting portion will take place for the finalists. Each selected contestant will be profiled on fourpointsmagazine.com and visitors can vote on who should be selected for the Cover Model. The voting for the Top 25 will be from March 15 at 8:00 a.m. until March 25 at 8:00 a.m.

• The Top 5 vote getters from the initial voting will be profiled and voting will be opened to the public from March 29, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. until April 15, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Online voting will contribute 50% to the selection of the contest winner.

• A panel of judges will determine the final 50% of the decision.

Prizes:

One Grand Prize winner will be notified by phone, postal mail, or e-mail within 10 days of a final decision, and will appear on the front cover of fourpoints and have a feature story in the August 2013 issue of fourpoints, which will be distributed at the 2013 Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant in Orlando, Florida. In addition, the grand prize winner will receive:

• Prize Package

• Photo shoot and headshots taken by a professional photographer.

• Travel arrangements provided by Serendipity Media LLC (if necessary and for winner only).

• An editorial feature in the August issue of fourpoints about themselves.

The semi-finalists will receive:

• Their photo and a brief description about themselves in the August 2013 issue of fourpoints.

No substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes (or prize components) will be given. Prizes will be awarded in the name of the winner only.

Conditions:

Entry constitutes permission to use the entrant's name, photograph, story, and other likeness for the purpose of advertising, trade, and promotion, unless prohibited by law. Entrants represent and warrants that the submitted entry does not infringe on the intellectual property, agency, or other rights of any third party. By entering, entrant grants to Serendipity Media LLC all rights, title and interest, and copyright. Serendipity Media LLC reserves the right to require verification of eligibility of any entrant, which entrant agrees to provide to Serendipity Media LLC's satisfaction.

Limitations of Liability:

By entering this contest, entrant agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Serendipity Media LLC from any liability whatsoever for any claim, costs, injuries, losses, liability, actions, or damages of any kind in connection with: 1) Entering the Contest, 2) acceptance of any prize, or 3) anything related to the Contest and the awarding of prizes. Michigan law shall govern any and all claims relating to this contest, and any proceedings regarding such claims must be conducted in the circuit court, county of Kent, in the state of Michigan.

6. All entries must include a $25.00 non-refundable entry fee made payable to Serendipity Media LLC.

7. If you would like your photos back at the end of the contest, please also include a self-addressed stamped photo envelope.

Entries will be accepted beginning January 1, 2012. The judging process will be as follows: The top five semi-finalists will be selected by a team at Serendipity Media LLC based on photo submission and applicant content. A panel of judges will determine 100% of the decision of the Feature winner.

Prizes:

Prizes include an editorial spotlight in the June 2012 issue of fourpoints Magazine and a free national Princess Spot at the MAOT pageant in Orlando! No substitutions, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes (or prize components) will be given. Prizes will be awarded in the name of the winner only.
