Miss America 2013 Mallory Hagan was in the lively city of New Orleans, Louisiana, to celebrate The Taste of the NFL. The weekend included participating in media events surrounding Super Bowl XLVII for Taste of the NFL, including the Gala VIP Party with a Purpose on Saturday evening, a fundraiser to help end hunger. Mallory co-hosted a silent auction, signed autographs, and mingled with special guests.
Mallory was stunning in her wardrobe collection, provided by Joseph Ribkoff, as she spent her first day in New Orleans on the famous “Radio Row” at the NOLA Convention Center. She participated in interviews with sports and entertainment outlets while meeting celebrities and sports legends. Mallory took a break from interviews to sit in the press conference for superstar Beyoncé, who spoke about her half-time performance plans and even took a few minutes to meet Mallory.
Since 1992, the Taste of the NFL has rallied the country's top chefs and the NFL's greatest to raise money in support of food banks throughout the United States. Through the efforts of hundreds of volunteers who help make Taste of the NFL the single most successful charitable event at the Super Bowl, this program continues to help feed the thirty-seven million Americans who have turned to their local food banks for assistance.
Miss America traveled Monday to Los Angeles, where she prepared for National Pancake Day with IHOP. The pancakes are free, but donations benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This year, IHOP plans to raise more than $3 million on National Pancake Day!
