The Miss Nebraska Organization recenlty announced that Nicky Haverland will be taking over the Miss Nebraska crown for Teresa Scanlan, who was crowned Miss America 2011. Nicky held the local title of Miss Douglas County. Her platform is Grab Life by the Protons: Encouraging Science Education.
