Wednesday, 31 August 2011 14:19

Miss Ohio 2011 Ellen Bryan will be launching her statewide bike tour to raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) of Ohio. She will begin at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus at 8:30 am. During the 27 day trip, she will visit all six (6) Hospitals in Ohio, stopping in 45 cities along the way.

Her tour will take her to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, The Children’s Medical Center of Dayton, Mercy Children’s Hospital in Toledo, Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland and Akron Children’s Hospital.

Bryan will be joined by Miss Ohio contestants, volunteers and local dignitaries as she makes her way across Ohio. She will average forty (40) miles per day and hopes to raise $100,000. “I am thrilled to have this opportunity to raise funds and awareness for the CMNH and to meet the citizens of Ohio,” stated Bryan.   “I have met so many amazing children, families and volunteers through the CMNH. As Miss Ohio, my goal is to raise money to bring resources and relief to the children who are part of the CMNH.”

The generous donations, services and resources of sponsors AMP Public Power Partners, Walmart, The American Legion and First Financial Bank have made this tour possible. Their incredible support will allow one hundred percent (100%) of the proceeds raised during the Miss Ohio Bike Tour to be donated directly to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals through the Miss America Organization.
